The Ramadan Market in Kuala Lumpur

September 15th 2009 02:36
The 2 block Ramadan Market

Have you ever seen most, if not all the yummiest local Malay cuisine, from traditional to modern, all packed in a street before? If you haven't you'd probably be interested to visit one of those special season markets during the Muslim fasting month. They are called as "Pasar Ramadan" (or The Ramadan Month Market) and they only exist annually during the Muslim fasting month so that fellow Muslim may be able to avoid major traffic jam at restaurants or even rushing home to cook when individuals or families break fast in the evening

1 day before departure to Mount KK

August 29th 2008 06:11

One day… oh my goodness… one day to go before I sit on the plane and head for the 20th highest mountain in the world… and here, sitting in front of my computer, staring at the MSN Weather forecast that challenges my faith more that good things are about to happen, because I started to see changes in the weather that Sunday there are promising fair weather coming… now only for 01 September – Monday, to have great fair weather throughout the day to make sure that the hike reaching the summit is successful.

Time surely flies….! And I have been going for 1-hour morning brisk walks at the park (with small track hill) where beginners or exercise lovers have their daily carbo burning.

Throughout that almost 2 months of exercising and special healthy diet at the Nutrition Club, my health readings are improving and heading towards the ideal health range, though my weight didn’t change too drastically…. It’s mentioned that this is a better and more lasting effect as I manage to convert my fat to muscles… oh do you know you need muscles to burn fat

After about a month from training hills, stairs and (occasionally) trails, and settling down the office in a new area, fresh orange fragrance attracted me to this neat little shop a few doors away – the Nutrition Club, where shakes were served to substitute breakfast and lunch.

This neat little place, where I met the health guides Samantha and Andrew Liang, offers the shake with their product mixture from Herbalife, a shake product that can help you to either gain, loose or maintain weight. Besides that, they also keep a close track of your health progress with their nifty scale that can measure your weight, body fat %, water %, muscle mass, physique ratings, BMR, Basal Metabolic age, Bone mass and Visceral fat

Steep tracks of Bukit Putih

After training for almost 40 days I accepted my friend’s invitation (she’s also one of the team mates to Mount KK) to take on the challenge of Bukit Puteh, about 300m hill (according to one of my team mates… I believe it is higher than that… I think) from sea level.

“Wanna go to Mount KK?” will forever stuck in my mind when my friend offered me this challenge and opportunity.

What was I thinking actually

The week to pay homage to the dead

March 26th 2008 05:51

Yesterday was supposed to be the first day cover editions of Astronauts, but when I went to check at the postal website it was postponed. And since this is the week where the Chinese folks start to celebrate Chinese All Souls Day, I might as well touch a topic of this annual custom held in Malaysia
