Malaysia’s First Day Cover of the year 2008: Historical Bridges
February 28th 2008 06:41
I used to have the joy of collecting stamps from around the world influenced by my dad, and the last 2 years when my mother admitted into the hospital due to the stroke of Steven Johnson Syndrome (medical allergy disease) I was pretty much broke. This year since I am here in Kuala Lumpur I must make a point to try my best to get the entire series of first day covers for year 2008 once more.
I usually do not actually get the “First Day Cover Sets”, which consist of the envelope and the stamps with the date stamped as a proof. I usually get an entire sheet and keep them. Sometimes I used these limited edition stamps and send them out to all my friends around the world during festive season or special occasions. But ever sheet cost me a little fortune to get them so I told myself if I come across issues that doesn’t fancy me I’ll just get the envelope and individual stamps each; and if I like that issue series I’ll get the sheet as well and keep for special occasions.
